With the advent of Christmas environment wears. The connection of several strings of lights, shapes or any other decoration representing power, increase energy consumption and pollution.

This is because more coal is burned to carbon dioxide rises to the ozone layer and wear.

Jose Rodriguez, a naturalist and anthropologist dedicated social care for the environment, said the Christmas decorative items are part of a consumerism that only makes it more powerful light companies.

said that an air conditioner in summer season brings more energy than a series of lights, but if there are 10 sets in a single house is equivalent to 10 light bulbs, double or triple the energy expenditure than is commonly used at home .

"You have to realize that the more electricity is consumed, the more we will have a negative impact. So to have more consumption, more pollution is on the planet, "said the expert. He explained that

Para realizar un good use of energy in Christmas
4 We recommend measures to make better use of electricity, while avoiding accidents.

1. We recommend, with Christmas decorations, never connect several lights in a contact, and will produce overload in the system, danger of overheating, poor operation, possible power outages, short circuits and other damage, because usually the bulk of the cable used is less than that set standards. Also highly recommended is the use of series of LED lights, they consume 1.3 watts instead of 56 watts consumed by the traditional series.

2. If you use an artificial Christmas tree, it is important to choose a fire resistant, buy LED or fiber optic therefore are compact, with lighting effects, not hot and can last up to 12 years. If natural, be sure to keep the moisture needed to prevent drying and represent a fire hazard. Do not put a tree near a radiator, fireplace or other heat source. Before going to bed, switch off lights and other Christmas tree ornaments.

3. In the case of using an electrical system, one must know that they require high intake, as recommended heaters with automatic. In the case of natural gas heaters, they are much more efficient than electric heaters can consume up to 1,500 watts, the same as having 30 halogen bulbs pinned together.

4. To keep warm, it is necessary to maintain watertight closing windows and doors by a silicone seal, and that approximately ten percent of the energy is lost through poorly sealed windows and doors. As adequate insulation of roofs, walls, drains and sinks. When using air conditioning units, insulate the pipes too, since this generates a saving of 30 percent.

White Christmas Christmas Power Consumption Technical

These parties do not have to be a time of wasted energy, as happens every year, if an act of awareness, actually did a little effort and put it into practice some simple care that is not labor-intensive and give very good results.

Celebrations anticipating the arrival of Christmas always accompanied by a large increase in the consumption of electrical energy needed to light the Christmas tree lights, houses and streets.

is also important to reduce the hours of lighting the Christmas lights, reserving them for a few moments of the night. In this sense play an important role businesses, which are the largest consumers of electricity and to increase their sales do not measure the impact on the environmental impact.

It's just taking little habits that are careful with medio ambiente, con los demás y con nosotros mismos, festejando la Navidad de manera solidaria y responsable.

So you know, beware of hearths and heating, as well as electrical Christmas decorations, not to pay for excess electricity consumption and, especially, for our safety.

cause rain

A team of researchers from France, Germany and Switzerland have used a laser technique to bring rain in the atmosphere. This technique can be used to study the formation of water droplets in clouds and could even offer a new method to induce precipitation.

weather control is an ambition of mankind since time immemorial. In the course of human history have made enormous efforts to find ways to make rain. The most recent attempts to promote rainfall or eliminate fog have been based on the use of airplanes or rockets to spread particles of silver salt or dry ice in the clouds that serve as "ice cores" around which can be form raindrops.

"This is the first experiment to show that a laser can cause condensation," said Dr. Kasparian. The team members are confident that this laser technique can be used to modify the weather in a particular area. "The reaction we cause is the first step in the formation of rain and we anticipate the possibility of replacing the techniques currently in use," he said.

The authors sought to mimic the function carried out by the dust and pollen particles as seeds of raindrops "in the process of condensation using ions generated laser. First, directed laser pulses to clouds in an experimental chamber. Ions were used as "hooks" for moisture and could be seen a trail of condensation along the path of the laser. The drops were too small to cause a real precipitation, but rather it was a light mist.

Then the scientists went Teramobile laser pulses directly to the sky a cold afternoon when there was a humidity around 90%. Then they took measures LIDAR (light detection and ranging) to monitor the concentration of aerosols in the atmosphere and detect changes in weather conditions: visibility worsened, the humidity rose to 93% and the concentration of aerosols of water increased.

In this latest research, led by Dr. Jérôme Kasparian of the University of Geneva (Switzerland), we used a special instrument called terawatt femtosecond laser and Teramobile to be issued extremely powerful laser pulses and ultrashort to generate "self-guided filaments ionized." Ions induced a condensation, first in a cloud chamber, and then in the sky over the German capital, Berlin, a cool autumn afternoon. The scientists examined the mechanisms behind this process through laboratory experiments, including tests of photo-oxidative chemistry and a study of electrostatic effects.

"We have demonstrated experimentally that it can promote condensation of water through self-guided filaments generated by ultrashort laser pulses, even in undersaturated atmosphere," the study concludes. "This phenomenon leads to an exciting new tool for remote characterization of the moist air and cloud formation. It might even provide a means to facilitate or even cause precipitation continuous operation using lasers instead of rockets. "

scientists perfect the technique are proposed to promote the formation of rain.

laser Laser Type " substitute for traditional liposuction? Mexico

has tested a new type of laser for reshaping body that moves easily along and width of the outer skin, disrupting the fat cells so that they can be eliminated from the body naturally.

Compared with traditional liposuction, laser Zerona requires no incisions and does not cause side effects such as stinging or burning, as can happen with other types of lasers.

The laser, recently approved by the U.S. Administration Food and Drug Administration as safe and effective non-invasive slimming the body, can be used in the waist, hips and thighs, and can also serve for other applications, such as such as male breast reduction or remove excess fat in the neck and arms. The procedure takes six sessions of 40 minutes each during a period of two weeks.

Dr. expert in plastic surgery and director of the Clinical Center for Cosmetic Laser Treatment at the Southwestern Medical Center, warns that the laser Zerona is not a substitute for traditional liposuction for those who need a change more significant in their body shape, so that people be treated with the Zerona should be close to their ideal body weight and have a good quality skin for good results.

Thank You Coming Our Wedding

At 9 am on April 3, 1842, in San Pablo bullring in Mexico City, was placed conductive sleeve and began to swell the balloon built by the first aeronaut Mexican Leon Guanajuato engineer Benito Acosta, who was only 23 years.

The balloon-built fabric and silk for himself and Ruby Acosta Celis - could be filled an hour later, but stopped in response to that was expected to His Excellency the President, Gen. Antonio Lopez de Santa Ana Given the time

tied the basket, placed the instruments, and the aeronaut came in the middle of the living, applause y acompañamiento de la música militar.

It was the balloon ascent that would make Don Joaquin de la Cantolla and Rico in honor of General Juan Nepomuceno Almonte and Leonardo Márquez.

Cantolla The balloons used were built by him, cut into wedges English blanket and sewn, and invented a regulatory system of the flame of burning alcohol that allowed him to graduate the balloon ascent and descent.

His fondness for balloons and aircraft allowed to meet the pioneers of aviation in Mexico, Alberto Braniff, Aldasoro brothers, Horacio Ruiz, etc.

On January 25, 1914 Mr. Alberto Braniff Cantolla invited to make a balloon flight over Mexico City was the largest balloon that had existed in Mexico and sleeps 6. Cantolla waved the national flag, the balloon reached the thousand 500 meters high, was descending slowly and landed softly on the earth.

Don Joaquin was happy, had managed to be at a height never reached their balloons. Arriving at his home in San Cosme Avenue, lost his balance when climbing the stairs and died 3 days the man who made his own savings and balloons filled the pages of a Mexico that only remember the nostalgic

Balloon How do hot air balloons? Science and Technology

Most the balloon rises through the hot air propane burner installed in the mouth. The envelope or cover, is made of synthetic fabric treated with polyurethane to minimize leakage. Cover hangs a basket or basket, which carries the pilot and passengers.

Inflation has two phases. First extends balloon on the ground and slid into the cold air with a large fan. Then, with a propane burner hot air is blown partially inflated envelope. straightening hot air balloon , who remain tied to the ground until the pilot is ready for takeoff.

Once in the air, it can make it up by operating the burners and adding more hot air. To lower you only need to wait for the air to cool or open a valve at the top, which free hot air. The balloons are just flying fuel to stay a few hours, usually less than 600 meters high, therefore, the aeronaut and the ground crew that follows it must find a safe place to land, one in which there are no cables electrical and that is away from busy streets.

Other balloons are helium or hydrogen. Unlike hot air, they can remain suspended for several days.

balloons can not go, move at the mercy of the winds. However, an experienced balloonist can control the device by varying its altitude, until you find a current to drive in the desired direction.

Revolution science and technology at the time of the Revolution

had barely completed the centenary celebrations of Independence, when the Mexican Revolution broke out, led by Francisco I. Madero, who started antirreleccionista movement against the regime of Porfirio Díaz. A highlight of the armed struggle was the passage of the 1917 Constitution, which captured the aspirations of Mexican society.

The armed struggle broke part of scientific activities that were no longer present in the country, although at different rates. Over the years, the political, economic and social environment gradually developing education and scientific research and technological nation.

During this period, the early development of science in the country, achieved during the Porfiriato, stopped almost completely, largely because the revolutionary governments closed some of the existing scientific institutions and changed by complete the structure of other, following a purely utilitarian scientific research.

Some of the most important during the revolutionary period in Mexico are:

1911 Francisco I. Madero was the first president of the world to fly an airplane, an experience that lasted about 10 minutes.

1919 Gaviño Lieutenant Horacio Ruiz made a flight from the outskirts of the city of Pachuca to Mexico City in carrying letters, postcards and second class mail. This fact was considered the first air mail service route in America. Gavino Ruiz was also the first to fly aboard a cameraman, who filmed for the first time since the air in Mexico City.

1921 was made the first radio transmission. In 1923 JH Mexican broadcaster aired the first programs and radio commercials, as well as the chords of the band of the Presidential.
JH name was in honor of its builder, the engineer José de la Herran, father.

Sotero Prieto 1932 was an outstanding teacher who greatly influenced Guadalajara reform and the progress of mathematical research in Mexico and in the formation of the then new generations of engineers and students of exact sciences . Sotero Prieto is said that teaching mathematics with excellent accuracy and simple clarity. He was among the first to popularize the theories of relativity of Einstein. In 1932 he founded the Mathematics Section of the Scientific Society Antonio Alzate.

1939 Guadalajara engineer Guillermo González Camarena invented the system to transmit color television (Field Sequential Trichromatic System), which was patented in 1940 in Mexico and the United States. At first this system was only used for scientific, anatomy lessons were transmitted from the School of Medicine, IPN.

1944 Ignacio Chávez promoted the founding of the National Institute of Cardiology, the first of its kind in the world. This quality hospital is considered a major research laboratory and breeding ground for clinicians and researchers.

These events are just a small sample of what you'll find temporary exhibition The Bicentennial has its Science. If you want to know more, come Explore and be proud of your history.

How To Breastfeed To Husband

The Origin of Life Scientific Theories dead

How did life on our planet? Throughout the history of mankind there has been any people who have managed to avoid questions about why and how life arose on our planet. Every culture, every religion, has developed its own answer to that nagging question of which man has ever escaped. And is that still the answer is uncertain, and are various theories, both scientific and religious, which flow trying to resolve the mysterious unknown.

In antiquity, the most commonly accepted theory was undoubtedly that of "spontaneous generation." This theory argued that living things arose from inorganic or organic substances in decomposition. An example of this theory is found in the statement of Van Helmont in the seventeenth century in which he stated that the mice born of old, wet rags that were stored in the attic. Incredibly, this theory continued in force until the nineteenth century with many followers.

The first to question the theory of "spontaneous generation" scientific methods was the physician Francesco Redi in the second half of the seventeenth century. Redi demonstrated against the widespread view that the flies were born in the putrefaction of meat, which insects born in such places only if you previously had deposited their eggs. Still, even experiments with bacteria by Pasteur (XIX century), in which he demonstrated that living organisms arise only from another living organism, the theory of "spontaneous generation" was not fully refuted.

Currently there are two theories that are more accepted as an explanation for the emergence of life on our planet.

• The first theory claims that life was brought to Earth by meteorites from outer space. Actually this argument does not end solve the question of how it arises life, as it simply says that life is found elsewhere in the universe and our planet came unexpectedly.

• The second theory is that it is harder today. Was developed by the Russian biochemist Alexander Oparin and Haldane scientific colleague, and more recently by the American Harold Urey. According to these scientists the atmosphere of early Earth was comprised mostly of methane, ammonia and water vapor. The lack of oxygen in the atmosphere made us there is no shield for the most active part of solar radiation, so that ammonia, methane and water vapor react with each other due to ultraviolet radiation and thus arose the first organic molecules of which would result after all living organisms.

No doubt this issue will not leave us never to fascinate and future generations will continue to seek the ultimate answer to dilute the mists that hang over the origin of the greatest miracle of the universe: life.

From
originally humans interacting with nature has been questioned about the phenomena that occur constantly. In order to understand and try to manipulate these "events" are formulated theories, which can be considered as "truths" until proven otherwise, once defined if it is indeed false, it is discarded, but if true it becomes law.

A clear example of a theory "dead" or discarded, is claiming that the Earth was flat or the geocentric theory of Ptolemy and beyond the second century BC, which was accepted in his time until Copernicus proved that claimed; commenting that the Sun was the body that is located in the "center" of the Solar System, this occurred in the mid-sixteenth century.

Another theory was rejected so-called "theory of the ether." The physical theory of the late nineteenth century postulated that, like the waves and sound are waves need a medium to transport (like water or air), light will also need a medium called "ether." As the speed of light is so great, design an experiment to detect the presence of ether was very difficult.

The purpose of Michelson and Morley was to measure the relative speed at which the Earth moves relative to the ether.

Each year the Earth travels a tremendous distance in its orbit around the Sun at a speed of 30 km / s (100,000 km / h). It was believed that the direction of "ether wind" with respect to the position of our star vary as measured from Earth, and so could be detected. For this reason, and to avoid the effects that could cause the sun in the "wind" as it moves through space, the experiment should be conducted at various times of the year.

The effect of ether wind on light waves would be like a flowing river on a swimmer who moves for or against it. At times the swimmer would be slowed and in other driven. This is what I thought would happen to the light to reach Earth in different positions with respect to the ether, should arrive with different speeds. The key is that round trip, the speed difference is very small, the order of a millionth of a millionth of a second. However, Michelson, very experienced with the measurement of the speed of light, devised a way to measure this minimal difference.

Ironically, after all this preparation, the experiment was flawed, but successful. Instead of showing the properties of ether, there was no change in speed of light and, therefore, any effects that the "ether wind" had to produce. The device behaves as if there were "ether wind." This remarkable result could not be explained by the theory of waves existing at the time. Many explanations were attempted, such as the Earth somehow dragged himself ether, but they all turned out to be incorrect.

Ernst Mach was among the first physicists to regard the outcome of the experiment was appropriate and suggested a new theory. The investigations initiated as a result of the experiment led to a consistent alternative theory, the Lorentz contraction, which explained the null result obtained. The development of this theory led to Einstein's special relativity.

the total volume of mangoes for industrialization, 50 percent is for canning, 20 percent and ten percent juices to dehydrate.

Of the total harvest, 40 percent goes export fresh, 30 percent industrial product, 25 percent for local consumption and five percent for other uses.

also recalled that previously exported between 70 to 80 percent of the fresh mango.

said that the outlook for the year 2010 - 2011 are positive because, although exports could be lower than in the previous season, the mango export opportunities with higher value added are higher.

At the end of the year 2009 - 2010 total mango exports totaled 107 tons, and know what it exported in the year 2010 to 2011 when surveys are conducted in two weeks.

Salazar said there are opportunities to enter new markets as the EMPA is developing a series of strategies.

noted that before the United States was the main market, but during the campaign 2009 - 2010, 48 percent of mango exports went to Europe and 34 percent to the United States.

Herpes Outbreak After Catheter

week in my ears (20 to 26 September)

More disks and easier for a new week, give them a read and a listen:

A Public Announcement disservice Methods of Mayhem (2010) .- difficult to describe the sound of this album project by Tommy Lee, drummer of Mötley Crüe, featuring a hodgepodge of styles ranging from hard rock, to pop, dance, hip hop and electronica. Unlike the self-titled album in 1999 following a rap metal line, the second material, leans more towards the sound of their albums to Tommy Lee (Never a Dull Moment 2002 and Tommyland: The Ride , 2005 ), while incorporating many beats and dance tunes, electronic, insurance after his experiences as a DJ. Diverse, eclectic and above all fun, it's an album worth being heard (with my head open).

Let It Sway of SOMEONE STILL LOVES YOU BORIS YELTSIN (2010) .- With a sound less pretentious than its name - which refers to the first Russian president - comes This American quartet's third album that experience, was produced by Chris Walla of Death Cab For Cutie. Retro tunes, little touches Beachboy-esque pop and stylish wrapped in nostalgia are part of this record that grows with every listen (I can not help comparing the voices to those of the album by The Brothers Movement said weeks ago).

Guitar Heaven: The Greatest Guitar Classics of All Time SANTANA (2010) .- Following the custom of inviting singers, but in this case doing covers of old rock anthems, guitar legend called musicians like Joe Cocker, Chris Cornell of Soundgarden, Scott Weiland Stone Temple Pilots, Rob Thomas of Matchbox Twenty, Gavin Rossdale of Bush, Chester Bennington of Linkin Park, Pat Monahan of Train and Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach and others for versioning issues such as "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" by the Beatles, "Can you hear me knocking" by the Rolling Stones, "Whole Lotta Love" by Led Zeppelin, "Back In Black "by AC / DC," Smoke on the Water "by Deep Purple," Riders on the storm "by the Doors and" Little Wing "by Jimi Hendrix among the 12 songs that make up the regular edition of this Guitar Heaven . The newest item "Photograph" by Def Leppard (1983) and drew attention for being one of the least "popular" in the collection. Carlos Santana gives it his style to each and every one of the topics not only with his trademark guitar sound, but also the percussive Latin saborcito brought from their origins. A disc well worth listening to.

Dark Is the Way, Light Is a Place of Anberlin (2010) .- Since I heard and I fell in love with the infectious "Impossible", I knew this was an album to listen and after a few laps, I can assure you that this is the best song on the new album from the Christian group. Sonic surprises, and there are not many songs seem to be halfway to a Jimmy Eat World and Switchfoot, with doses of punk and post grunge post with some elements interspersed noventeros with more contemporary sounds. The help of producer Brendan O'Brien, Dark is the way, light is a place is the most polished album the quintet of Florida and if it does not change the world, at least it will make a more enjoyable ... ;

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) VARIOUS ARTISTS of (2010) . - As part of a film that broke box office - I did not see nor do I see - this soundtrack comes as a delight for fans of indie and alternative rock, music by Muse, Metric, Black Keys, Band of Horses, The Dead Weather, Beck, The Bravery, Florence and the Machine and Vampire Weekend among others. Of course it is a more serious than the film itself and I think it is one of the best soundtracks of recent times. The recommendation is to spare ...

Those were the albums and these are the singles:

"Born free" KID ROCK .- with a very southern and Seger-esque, this issue return the solo sounds really good. Five minutes and some seconds in length of a song that could well seen as a patriotic salute gringo, while providing a lyrical applicable to any born in a free country (most are, no?). As the topic that names the album coming out Nov. 16, is perhaps one of the numbers sound more mature in its 20-year career. Http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bikpBqt7Tdw

"Fuck you" CEE LO GREEN .- Known as the voice behind such memorable "Crazy" Gnarls Barkley (2006), Cee Lo Green - or just Cee Lo, whose original name is Thomas Callaway - is a rapper and singer with a tone color rather and in this particular case with very unique item. Funk, r & b and neo soul are styles by traveling this infectious song that serves as advance for her third solo album. Spending, danceable, singable ... "Fuck you!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAV0XrbEwNc&has_verified=1

"Dog Days Are Over" from FLORENCE AND THE MACHINE .- Sincere, intense, direct and original, it sounds like Britain's Florence Welch in this area of \u200b\u200byour hard Lungs. "Dog Days Are Over" for almost two years on the market and after having swept Europe is finally getting the publicity it deserves in North America. Pop, folk, rock and even some live blues in this song that brings one of the best female voices of today. Http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ny4deVFsYuo

Average Cost For Orderve Catering

week in my ears (13 to 19 September)

Three records of great acts, along with a sweet pair of lesser-known musical part of this album streamed Week:

CRASH Crash Kings Kings (2009) .- Although rock is not the instrument par excellence what a great touch that gives this piano trio's debut album Crash Kings, derailing the argument that "there is no rock guitars (yes, you will not hear a single guitar on this album). At times, à la Ben Folds Five - but more rock - features the singer playing the keys and showing a particular tone that stands out above all heard in recent times. Intense, melodic, retro yet modern, this self-titled debut presents Angelenos memorable themes and is one of the most interesting albums I encountered there. Hopefully by the time you finish reading the full post, you're downloading this disquito!

first Head of Goldfrapp (2010) .- When you hear a record like this, there is no way to say "I do not like pop," because this English duo's fifth album does nothing but present a real sweet to the ears, very well crafted catchy melodies, nice lyrics and a voice, courtesy of Alison Goldfrapp, who already like to have the Britneys, Mileys, Selena and Demis. With a fresh sound, yet retro, that could have been conceived in the 80s, has a very optimistic wave Head First this could be the definition the word "cool." Recontra recommended!

A Thousand Suns LINKIN PARK (2010) .- The fourth album from the sextet of Agoura Hills, is the most eclectic - and risky - they have done in his career and features the band playing with electronic sounds, much rap and even reggae time around (there is even a closing acoustic ballad disc), while leaving aside some electric guitars and focuses to create extremely contagious melodies and choruses seem destined to be sung en masse - perhaps with lighter in between - on stage and 'venues' such. There's nothing like a "Crawling", a "Somewhere I Belong", a "What I've done" or "New divide", but there is the clear intention of a group - considered the most important of the decade 2000 -2009 - moving musical boundaries and offer something more than just a label with the label of "rock." In A Thousand Suns, lead singer Chester Bennington has revealed that one of the best voices in rock today.

Flamingo BRANDON FLOWERS (2010) .- Flowers and The Killers? I think ultimately there's not much difference and the frontman of the band in Las Vegas, presents a set with lots of flavor and takes the left by Day & Age to their original group (remember some details Sam's Town). In this, his solo debut, the singer, 29, covers familiar territory and does not venture into new paths, making the listener does not present anything new, but still be an enjoyable and - at least for now - siva to patiently await the return of the full band. Perhaps having had three different producers - Brendan O'Brien, Stuart Price and Daniel Lanois - prevented the greater personalidady disc has finished delivering a series of songs that are far from hymns like "Mr. Brightside", "For Reasons Unknown "and" Spaceman. "

Audiosecrecy STONE SOUR (2010) .- The album was billed as the heaviest and softest the side project of Corey Taylor and effectively so. On one side are the songs that seem drawn from a Slipknot album and on the other - and in large quantities - are the power ballads that could have been part of a band of disc hard rock (even with some moments eighties and early 90s). 14 tracks in the regular edition and 17 in the digipack, make this an album generous yet somewhat repetitive and tiresome. I hope your opinion ...

and recommended three songs - two of them among the best of the year, so far:

"Cinnamon" by Stone Temple Pilots .- One of those songs that instantly draw attention , for its freshness and infectious melody. With some wave and a sharp style sixties pop - is not the first time venturing into that territory STP - is my favorite theme of the quartet titled album and makes clear that the band plays for more. Must listen! Http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26KeiqxUnfw

"Radioactive" KINGS OF LEON .- The issue that brings them back is pure feeling and the hundreds of thousands of followers of the quartet, we could not be less than happy with it. At first, I did not fail to compare, in a kind of competition, with "Sex on fire" - and stay with the aforementioned anthem of 2008 - but this "Radioactive" lives in his own right, with big guitars, heartfelt vocals and a few choruses gospel that I love doing more and more of the subject. Note on your calendar: October 19, launching Come Around Sundown. Http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgdK3WVUEgg

"Do her wrong" ATOM SMASH .- I heard the track and I said what?!?! This is "Pour Some Sugar on Me" by Def Leppard, a similar beginning, a voice à la Joe Elliot and even cuts of the first half that do nothing but think of a shameless copy of the theme of 1987. With the second and the amount of sounds, of course it is obvious that this is not the subject of English, but impossible to avoid comparing and perhaps an occasional change, we would have done greater justice to this band's debut single in Miami. The issue is not bad, judge yourself ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vRATqR7qHDo

Did you know ... the airplane was invented the beginning of the twentieth century?

Twentieth Century Inventions

Throughout the twentieth century there were several inventions and discoveries, among which we highlight the following:

Airplane. The Wright brothers carefully studied what was known aeronautics so far, reaching their own conclusions. They began their experiments with gliders in 1900, but the December 17, 1903 when they finish building its first aircraft engine with four-cylinder petrol and 12 horses. Piloted by Orville and moving on a railway track was raised three feet and ran head after about 30 meters in 12 seconds, after falling to the ground, depending on the version of the interested parties and their eyewitnesses. In 1905, Wright traveled a little over 40 miles, flying for 30 minutes without touching the ground. Later, scientists such as Henri Farman, improved the brainchild of brothers Wright.

Other inventions:

Penicillin. is an antibiotic that revolutionized modern medicine. The use of this substance can treat various diseases, well into the twentieth century, is considered incurable. Admittedly, the fact that it is possible to use penicillin in the present is not due solely to Alexander Fleming, but was the result of efforts by various researchers. The British bacteriologist, discovered the antibiotic in 1928, studying a bacterial culture that had a state lysis due to accidental contamination with a fungus. In fact, initiated the era of penicillin antibiotics, substances that have increased the life expectancy rates in virtually all the world. In fact, the model of preparation of antibiotics derived from penicillin.

structure of DNA. In the fifties, the field of biology was convulsed by the development of the model of the structure of DNA. James Watson and Francis Crick in 1953 showed that consists of a double helix formed by two chains.
DNA is a nucleic acid consisting of nucleotides. Each nucleotide consists of three components: a sugar: deoxyribose in this case (in the case of RNA, or ribonucleic acid, a sugar that is a ribose), a phosphate and a nitrogenous base.

If only the sugar molecule is attached to the nitrogenous base is then called a nucleoside.
nitrogenous bases that are part of DNA are: adenine (A), guanine (G), cytosine (C) and thymine (T). These form hydrogen bonds between them, respecting strict complementarity: A only pairs with T (and vice versa) through two hydrogen bonds, and G only with C (and vice versa) by 3 hydrogen bonds.

Groping In Bus Vedioes

week in my ears (31 August to 5 September)

A new week listening to albums and songs and than put a few words, I decided to increase the album art, but boring to the thing (if you think of other ideas are welcome) and if anything, the links in the singles, are simply so you can hear the song (I'm not very videos).

To begin with, some records ...

The hazards of love The Decemberists (2009) .- With a narrative common throughout the disk, in a sort of rock opera, with haunting melodies, voices and sounds different folk, art, baroque, progressive and indie The fifth album from the Decemberists, has been consistently designed from start to finish, the brainchild of singer Colin Meloy and with guests such as singer Becky Stark of Lavender Diamond and vocalist Jim James of My Morning Jacket. The Hazards of Love to hear at least once, but yes, fluently and without "shuffle" in between ...

Avalanche BRITISH INDIA (2010) .- Australia has become a big exporter of music in recent times and one of those pleasant discoveries is that of the Melbourne quartet that brings a good dose garage and post punk with some saborcito noventero. Great guitars, infectious choruses and a good vocal work are part of an album that brings nothing but talking loudly again, serves to give a flavor with a band that has managed to enjoy success in their country of origin.

Strange is not it of weather! (2010) .- Three exclamation points (!!!) or 'chick, chick, chick' serve as California's nickname of this band that has more than a decade making music. With doses of funk, post punk, electro, disco and retro moments fail to sound like LCD Soundsystem, but I'm sure fans of electronics, you know enjoy this new disc.

The Courteeners Falcon (2010) .- Except one or two songs - and despite criticism that praise the band - this second album from the English is not my cup of tea (borrowed that expression "it's not my cup of tea"). It makes me sound very old fashioned, between eighties and noventero, do not quite decide between being a new wave and Brit pop and falling into repetition and monotía throughout its 50 minutes long. The voice sounds like a cardboard copy of Jarvis Cocker and I think by listening to a contagious and moved "You did it over doll" and the nostalgic "Cameo Brooch" (which reminds me of a topic that I can not identify) had had enough.

Only Revolutions by Biffy Clyro (2009) .- Sounds noventeros à la Foo Fighters, Bad Religion, great guitars, melodies and explosive vocals on stage are part of the band's fifth album under the Scottish form of a power trio delivers a very solid library filled with memorable moments. Being his best-selling album in the UK - and unfortunately without diffusion in North America, despite the European American sound before - it has great songs like "The captain", "Mountains", "Whorses", "God & Satan" and All "Bubbles", upbeat song, strong (but not heavy, eye) and quite contagious Josh has Homme as a guest on guitar.

And finally, some singles ...

"Closer to the edge" 30 SECONDS TO MARS .- I often do, I hear an album and find favorite shot - usually grab me by catchy melodies that ear is accustomed to hearing Beatles and radio hits - and this was the case of the third promotional war This is the third album by the band of Jared Leto. Synthesizers, programmed drums and other electronic sounds are preparing the arrival of a contagious chorus that explodes with a "I'm not saying, I'm sorry "that it may well be a hymn played in the band. With a lot of pop, but with all the rock energy is one of my favorite subjects and my favorite moment in the history of 30 Seconds To Mars. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=duYLdevin24

"Congratulations" from MGMT .- It is not wise thing to realize that the sound of MGMT is very different in this new album and the singles have also promoted another wave. The title song to the album, is the latest to receive broadcast - with video and everything - and winking at the music of the sixties is presented as a soft number with acoustic guitars, whispered vocals and a melancholic air. Great! Http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_GvVnPsUeg

"Make me want to die" Pretty RECKLESS .- It is very plausible that an actor then rock - yes there are cases of actresses who were able to do its part in other genres - and I must admit that when I learned that Taylor Momsen, the young model and actress of "Gossip Girl" was a rock band and that the theme was No. 1 in rock charts in the UK, I did not give much credit. What good is wrong with these things, as the debut single these New Yorkers is a real rock number, with guitars present entrance, a dark, sexy voice - who travels between gothic, new wave and pop - and a melody that makes this a distinct issue. Momsen, for his age - 17 years - sounds experienced and honest, completely separates the league of celebrities with aspirations of rockstars and has nothing to envy of other popular singers. American radio seems to give a lot of baseball yet, but something England received with open arms, give a listen, it's worth. Http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZoOd9JDIPB0
