Cost Of Starter Replacement

Peruvian Exports to India increased the 20% during the first half of 2010

Peruvian exports to India increased 20 percent in the first six months of the year, said Peru's economic and commercial counselor in New Delhi, Paul Duclos.

"We are on track to regain 2008 levels, the majority of shipments are minerals but overall exports increased by 20 percent," he said.

noted that trade between Peru and India in recent years has experienced a marked growth, and from 2003 to 2008, Peruvian exports increased by almost 625 per cent.

"In 2008 we reached a record exports when totaled about 800 million dollars," he said.

He said that while most products are exported to India are minerals, increased shipments of other items such as textiles, agriculture, chemicals, fisheries and metallurgy, among others.

however, said the sector in which domestic exporters should concentrate on is food because India is currently the sixth largest market in the world and is on track to quadruple in less than 15 years.

"In addition, farmers in India want to stop being played because they want to pursue other jobs where they will earn more, and not depend on climatic factors," he told Andina news agency.

argued that, according to projections, India will become a net food importer in about 2030.

noted that their population is increasing at a fairly fast pace and is estimated to be 1.100 million and the population with higher consumption capacity grows at ten per cent per annum figures are an attractive factor for placing new products in India.

Duclos reported that products with great potential for this huge market are vegetables and fruits and vegetables because the population is predominantly vegetarian.

"The legumes, like beans, are the main sources of protein for this population. Also soon enter the Indian market pallares "he said. (Andina)
